myGroceryPlanner Mission

Educate, Encourage, Empower and give God the glory.

Rachelle and family wish all our members could share and participate in the amazing knowledge and freedom that has radically changed and enriched our lives. In the area of grocery budgeting, grocery shopping, and food consumption, we used to wonder where all our grocery money was disappearing to, suffer from allergies, fatigue and skin rashes from eating too much food with no nutritional value, and then waste so many hours imprisoned in grocery aisles zig-zagging and impulse-buying while shopping with poorly planned (or complete lack of) hand-made grocery lists!

We implemented a few changes, and now our family consistently spends much less money when shopping; we all eat, feel and perform on a much higher level because of a healthier diet; and we spend much less time in the grocery aisles because of the efficiency we have developed.

By using the tools provided in myGroceryPlanner, we EDUCATE our users, showing them that it IS possible to quickly and easily reduce a grocery budget for a family of 4 to under $100/week and still eat well, (both healthy and hearty)! We’ve done it, and so can you!!!

Through our past personal hardships, our 'must-survive' strategies, and proven success, we ENCOURAGEand bring hope to our users that within the realm of grocery shopping… it is possible to simultaneously achieve all 3 goals of maintaining budget control, healthy meal planning, and efficient shopping! Using the tools in myGroceryPlanner helps our members do all this at one time with little to no effort at all!

Probably the most important goal in our mission is to EMPOWER. We want our users to “take back” the control and power of wise decision making based on factual data, rather than be tossed back and forth by whatever current marketing tells them to buy. We are not swayed by advertising dollars (fully supported by, and working for the consumers only), but provide food information as truthfully as possilbe. We wish to bring our users to the point that they too vote strongly with their grocery dollars to help bring about awareness and change in the way food producers grow, harvest, and deliver safe and healthy food for this generation and our children to come!

We invite you to pray with us that these three goals are met, that God receives all the glory for the success of this endeavor, and that he does wondrous things in the lives of our members.

Thank you for your support.

Founder: God Inspired 2004-present

Master Operations Manager: God

God has to get credit here as the owner. We believe it has been His leading and prompting us to fulfill this mission. He also guides us in the implementation of the ideas and concepts, when we call on Him for help. It is our hope that every aspect of the GroceryPlanner will be done carefully, respectfully, and according to His will and purposes. This is the only way we believe the most people will benefit from it. Since He knows each of us so intimately, only He can orchestrate such a project to be able to personally touch His children.

HISTORY

Where to begin?

By the grace of God, around 2006, our eyes were opened to a whole new way of meal planning, shopping, and the importance of quality ingredients and food.

(SCOTT - this is just a quick outline in progress; we can narrow down for public and keep details for our own book/testimony)

  • 2000-2001 We used an online grocery store delivery system, loved the convenience and ability to sort and figure out unit price before purchasing items and having them deliver right to our door! Unfortunately, that company went out of business in our state. Beautiful friend who alerted Rachelle to "health food". I could not understand why she would drive an hour to go to a grocery store!
  • 2002 Our first daughter was born and later diagnosed with a rare skin disease called Circinate Pustular Psoriasis. See Photo and Read more.
  • Dec 2004 Our second child was born and we started thinking it would be so much more efficient if I could have a program make my grocery list for me in store aisle order (much easier with two kids in the cart)! Major "heavenly download" for weeks. Supernatural visitors at the door (TG) confirming idea.
  • Feb 2005 Friend suggests diet. Oldest daughter skin condition healed and challenged 'best' dermatologist. (wrong date - closer to after Dec Ohio trip) (get Dr Ghali last appt date)
  • July 2006 FDA conversation (around this time period? Check Dr. Mcvean record date)
  • Oct 2006 Psychotropic Medications awareness and children's home issues (state regulated nutrition plans and guidelines)
  • Summer 2007 Started learning about natural cures to things like cancer and realized we are "racing for a cure" that has already been proven and found. More determined to build the planner to help people know and find truth using tools that make it practical and doable.
  • July 2007 Contracted an outside developer to build our first prototype and database schema. Paid cash upfront to get him debt-free so he could focus exclusively on the project and not worry about finances. After December, he no longer assisted us and did not finish the objectives of the contract.
  • Dec 2007ish Rachelle took "Sessions" classes online to learn coding skills to try to "do it herself".
  • Food Inc Came Out (date???); friend validated on Good Morning America??? I'm not crazy.
  • Mar 2008 What is in baby food, formula, and those pre-natal vitamins? Third baby boy born. New awareness to GMO foods on USDA site.
  • Feb 2009 Launced online beta version
  • July 2009 Applicants for Data Entry Assistance; revamping vision
  • July 2009 Personal Life Upheaval (Scott's accident)
  • 2009-2010 Excited to see Jamie Oliver educating America about what's IN our food and the consequences thereof; After trying to complete what was started and online and asking for help through GroceryMiracle.com with no response; Rachelle had to lay it down. It was a death of a dream.
  • 2012ishSmall Business Plan for DARS(Scott) ??DATE
  • 2013 Texas DARS rejects plan; does not think this type of business would be successful
  • 2013-2014 Rachelle restarts building; "We can do this!"
  • July 2014 Financial Blessing allows us to hire Independent Programer with Software Company for an exclusive 9 month contract; super excited to finally see a well laid out launch (despite all the set backs and time gone by)
  • May 2015 Developer drops the project without delivering all the Final Deliverables; particularly nothing is online to use or market; attempts to get help elsewhere unsuccessful (closed doors); developer refuses to cooperate with a mediation service; God whispers Hebrews 8:6 to Rachelle
  • Nov 2015 Developer heard about need and calls us. Old friend hears situation and offers to help revive the program....
